Hello All,
I have a real bear of an issue here. I was recently prompted to update my Nvidia graphics drivers, just as I was shutting down the setting to go to my job. I allowed the drivers to update, and then had the system shutdown instead of restarting after the install process.
When I returned after work and rebooted the system, I was greeted with a BSOD, to the effect of "STOP: 0X00000124 - 0X000000BF8000 0X000000200401" this translated as a hardware issue. I restarted the system in safe mode, and rolled back the drivers. I still received a BSOD on normal startup. Running a driver cleaning utility did not help, neither did a system restore. I ran SFC /Scannow in safe mode, and it stated that there were several corrupt files that it could not repair.
I tested the original video card in another system, and it worked fine. I switched to the on board Intel Graphics hoping that it would work, but it still BSODs in normal mode with that as well, though it (like the Nvidia card) also works fine in safe mode.
Any guidance would be much appreciated!
