Windows 7 64bit Update - KB3021917?

I ran the Windows Update today and 13 of 14 updates were selected for update. One update - KB3021917 - was not selected and was not updated. Anyone know what this update is and why it was not selected? Is it safe to update with it?

Unless you are testing Windows 10 on the computer that received the update, you do not need it. The update sends information to MS about performance issues.

Thanks for the reply. I went ahead and installed the update prior to seeing your note. This is on Win7 64bit. Should I expect any problem(s) with it?

In the future, you click on the update to see what it is all about. I only knew because I am updating now.

That's the Microsoft Performance Power Tracker. It quickly diagnose the actual OS for the event of a newer OS install.

Please forgive my obvious violation of Forum Policy. I thought my issue was of such significance, that it did warrant the choice I made in its publication.

Would it be possible to detail the policy I violated? If so, I will go out on a limb, and say it will not happen again.
