Windows 7 after installation -Always going to system Recovey Tools

Hi,
I am having Sony VAIO CR220E laptop that is running on Vista. Recently I created a new partition with 90 GB and trying install Window 7 Home Premium. It seems installation successful and went to a point Preparing desktop, after that it showed message 'shutting down'. After that when ever i started the Laptop it is directly going to System recovery, not even asking which OS to select , though Vista and WIndows 7 are in different partition.
I had to select the restore C drive option on system recovery and re-install Vista from recovery partition. I can see the windows 7 files on second partition.
Can somebody help me in identifying the problem?

Hello and welcome Sung - personally mate I would just get a new drive and install 7 onto that and use the existing HDD for an external drive and / or transfer the data you want from Vista when the 7 has finished.

Plus I think 90GB is going to be rather small a partition for the OS anyway.

So vista is working again? win7 is not in bootmenu anymore?

You didn't need to recover Vista as we could have helped you restore its boot.

Now I'd install EasyBCD (click Download - no Name or Email required) to Vista to add Win7 to a Dual Boot menu.

After reboot if it doesn't offer Dual Boot menu, boot the WIn7 disk to run Startup Repair - Run up to 3 Separate Times to see if it can create a Dual Boot menu or at least start Win7. If needed you can then add Vista using Easy.
