Windows 7 can't open saved Internet pages - Linux can and will

I'm not sure when this started, but it sure is a nuisance.

A month or so ago, the hard drive containing Win7 and linux started failing. It happened slowly and by the time I realized what was going on I had lost some data loss due to having to hard reset my frozen pc.

So I bought another hard drive and installed Windows 7 and Ubuntu 16.04 the way it was before.

To be cautious, I backed up my whole computer, one drive at a time. I have a lot of data spread over two hard drives; one for Win7 and linux and one for data.
Now I've come across a problem where Windows cannot open certain folders that it certainly could before. It gives me an error:

I:\folder name.html
The specified path does not exist.

Check the path, and then try again.

Also, I see this error:

Cannot open directory "I:\folder name_files"
Error Code 123: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.[openDir]

So far, almost all the problem directories are the "files" directory of saved webpages. If I use Windows Explorer to try to see what's in the directory, it says "Location not available" and Properties show 0 bytes.

The kicker is that if I go to Ubuntu and try to open the saved webpage, it works fine. There is data there and it looks as it did when I saved it.

By the way, both OS's are using Firefox for their browsers.

Welcome to the forum. First thing is to check the HD for errors

I have run chkdsk on the drives. They all passed.
