I have an older (2005) Dell Dimension 8400. I have windows 7 on it. Well, one night, I was burning a disc. I minimized the burner, and surfed the web for awhile. Suddenly... it freezes. The USB light-mouse turns off. The computer just freezes. So I turn it off, turn it back on, and it hangs at the dell splash screen, about 15% done. I have heard to press esc and try to see what is going on in the "background", and I will try that. But at the time of writing, I haven't done so yet. If it hangs again, can I have some advice?

Also, I am going to try to disconnect the floppy drive. It's so useless nowadays, and I think it will help.

PS: How do I reflash the bios on an incompetent computer??

Shows nothing on the monitor.

I am very sorry, but I am about to buy a Mac....
