Have had a home built PC now for a bout a year, i have my OS running from dual SSDs in a RAID configuration (for fast access of databases), recently i noticed my machine began crashing a few times more than i had been used to, but recently it has really started to increase in frequency. When i turn the power off to my machine and reboot, what often happens is the system freezes again just before i reach the password login screen (freezes at the screen with the windows logo). I have checked the event viewer, heres what i found after the last crash today...

I keep my machine clean from viruses and malwhare using Avira free antivirus, Malware bites and SuperAntiSpyware, not sure if these are the best / most reliable or if that is even a contributory factor.

Any advice on this problem would be most welcome tyvm :~)

Well just a though. Kernal power error 41 is telling you as far as Windows 7 is concerned it wasn't shut down correctly. You have programs hanging which can cause a improper shut down. Programs hanging could be for many reasons and one is running SSD's in Raid (?). The small amount of speed increase you get by using SSD's in Raid would only show up when moving very large foldes/files. My understanding using Raid you will loose Trim.
