Windows 7 desktop classic no programs run

I had a BSOD. Kernal inn page app error I think it was. Then it evolved into Verification of knowndll has failed. It wouldn't boot. Ran the chkdsk and it's barely running.

Windows 7 boots into the classic 1994/95 theme.
No 3rd party applications work such as my xbox360 reciever for example.
Half my programs don't even register, will not open.
I try to load the Services application and I get a snap-in error. Accepting the error and the list is blank.

I do not have a restore point, I had 5 and suddenly I can't find them.
I have ran the SFC and the Chkdsk 3 times.
I do not wish to reinstall my OS because this will be the 4th time.

I reinstall the OS and 2 days later I'm back with corrupt files and a half working computer.

The event log is filled with errors such as Windows Search Service can NOT be found.

HD audio Driver has failed to load.

Failed extract of third-party root list from auto update cab.

The description for Event ID 0 from source NVNetworkService cannot be found.

The description for Event ID 8224 from source VSS cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

Windows (4956) Windows: The database engine stopped the instance (0).

Certain things had to be reinstalled that were working perfectly such as my Cisco Wifi flash drive.

I haven't even had time to run into any suspicious downloads and the first thing I downloaded was malwarebytes and Microsoft Security essentials.

You say you have just downloaded Windows Security essentials! Have you not been running an anti virus program before?

I have been using it for a while but something slipped through the cracks. Seems like everything was fine until I ran a scan. I don't know how to explain it but I think my computer is held together by viruses. I eventually gave up and reinstalled fresh. It's still annoying because even after installing it on day one of a clean install something becomes corrupted. It was fine for years and now all of the sudden it's fragile, I'm almost afraid to turn it on anymore.

I still though would like to know if there even was a fix.

I had kernelbase.dll errors, mui errors, it was ridiculous. I must have ran SFC and CHKDSK 6 times each and nothing was ever solved.

What I am trying to establish is "Have you been running your PC without an up to date anti virus software installed?"
You say you recentlly downploaded Windows Security essentials but then you say you have been running it for some time! How long is sometime?
You ssay you have downloaded Malwarebytes, have you installed and run it?
Just another point, What version of Windows 7 do you have installed?

I've had them both installed first thing and ran as soon as I got windows up and running, all 4 times. There's also a consistency check on the C: Drive, Windows 7 Ultimate x64, every time after the 1st boot. It deletes and recovers a LOT of stuff even though the installation was 100% successful and there were ZERO errors while updating.
