Hi,

I am currently running Linux (Ubuntu OS) on my laptop, and have VirtualBox installed. I run Windows XP as guest OS in the laptop through VirtualBox.

I would like to purchase a new Windows 7 OS-Professional Edition (32 Bit), I need to know whether this would be suitable for running on the VirtualBox as guest OS ??

Also is there going to be any issue with installation/activation of the OS, when installing on Virtual Box??

Does Windows 7 support installation on VirtualBox ??

Please help....

Thanks

Yes, generally it works without problems. As long as the host has sufficient hardware to run both OSs at the same time, you should be fine. I've tried it under VirtualBox countless times without trouble (but under a Windows host).

Windows 7 is supported by VMware Player, source. So you can install it as a guest OS, no problem. Just make sure you have enough resources to run virtual machines.
