Anyone know how to get Crysis running the x64 exe? only my 32bit one works :S

I had the x64 running on version 1.0 when I updated to version 1.21 it started crashing.

You have to run the Crysis64.exe in the Bin64 folder as adminstrator

When will they update the OP with the new info?

Working with minor issues on Windows 7 x64:

Thief Gold - patch 1.33, use ForceCore or Task Manager to force the game to use only 1 CPU. I have Intel Indeo 5 installed, no codec packs, ForceWare 191.07 drivers.

Nothing is overclocked, I'm tired of figuring out whether it's a poorly written software or overclocking that causes problems.
Dragon Age: Origins working on Win7 x64 rtm altough i get a weird stuttering every second that lasta like 0.2sec :) but i guess thats cause of bad ATi drivers as always ...

I have DA: Origins working perfectly well on W7 Ultimate x64 with a pair of GTX260s - so I agree that it is probably an ATI issue - ~JG

Can anybody tell the difference in Crysis between running the 64 and the 32? I think that's the only game I have (Crysis Warhead actually not Crysis) that has a 64 exe file to launch.

The x64 file will make use of RAM past 4GB...

If you have over 4GB, are running x64, and are using the 64 bit executable, you will have the smoothest gameplay possible

It may actually be just the crysis.exe in the bin64 folder that needs to be run as admin and not the crysis64.exe :o

I actually have both .exe's in the bin64 folder set to run as admin and both are set to run for Vista SP2 compatibility, although from previous installations only one of the .exe's needs to be run as admin - I always forget which needs what (sorry for the confusion)

Working with no issues on Windows 7 x64:

Tomb Raider II
Tomb Raider II Gold: The Golden Mask
Tomb Raider III Gold: The Lost Artifact
Tomb Raider III: Adventures of Lara Croft
Tomb Raider: Angel Of Darkness
Tomb Raider: Anniversary
Tomb Raider: Legend
Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation
Tomb Raider: The Times Level
Tomb Raider: Underworld

--------------------------------------------
Working with minor issues on Windows 7 x64:

Tomb Raider - use this to install the game. The game will run perfectly, with Glide support (yes, on x64).
Tomb Raider I Gold: Unfinished Business - same as above.
Tomb Raider: Chronicles - apply this patch after installation. No other problems were found.

--------------------------------------------
It is better to keep TR1 and TR1G:UB in different folders, since configuration file screwuption is likely to occur if both of them are ran from the same directory, so playing one game will partially prevent another one from starting (it will freeze upon starting a new game or loading a save, until you change settings).

P.S.: No compatibility modes are needed for any game mentioned in this post.

COD 2 issue W7 x64

I cant seem to figure this one out. After installing the 1.3 patch COD2 will only use one cpu core when it starts. This causes lag spikes etc and one cpu at 100%. If I go to task manager and select the COD2MP.exe and change affinity to all 4 cores it runs fine. Of course the next time I run the game it goes back to 1 core.

I have reinstalled COD2 multiple times and confirmed it doesnt start until after installing the 1.3 patch.

I even did a clean install when going from W7 RTM to W7 Business x64.

It is annoying to have to alt esc to desktop to change the affinity everytime I run the game! It doesnt appear others are having this issue that I can find... Can anyone check theirs for me and see if this issue occurs?
