Are you saying "reset" IE8. How to do that?

I am not running IE9. I am running IE8. Also, the same thing happens when I open and run firefox, no downloads.

I am running IE8 and firefox on my XP Pro computer desktop, sitting here in the same room.

I honestly believe it is something to do with Windows7, even though 7 ran for nearly 3 years before it started this problem. Are there any updates for Windows7. I looked for SP2 or anything to update 7, but could not find anything.

Windows 7 doesn't save a second service pack . For now it is just SP1

Resetting IE8 did not work either.

Firefox does not work.

Does this point to something wrong inside Windows 7, like an update gone wrong?

I can not put Norton back on the computer, or Flash Player, etc. does not allow but about 10% of a large download to be completed.:shock:

Is there some setting that controls the download, like maybe, less than a given percentage of RAM available or maybe less than a given percentage of HD space available?

Firefox and IE8 will not download. They both quit at the same time. Each will download only about 15% maximum.
