My problem is the following : On my Dell laptop (Inspiron N5010) i installed 2 antiviruses (avira and norton) and suddenly after this, my pc kept crashing (blue screen and all).
The way i was able to fix this was simply by running diagnostics and restarting the computer.
After a week, the computer completely failed, the blue screen of death appeared this time, i had to reinstall windows 7. I didnt know how to, so we called an experienced pc guy who fixed it, using a windows 7 professional 64 bit (instead of home premium) disc as boot. All was fine, until a week after the guy had done this : The computer shutdown suddenly and i was unable to access anything, except the bios menu (and window 7 logo ).
I then used the same disk the guy used (he gave it to us) to reinstall the os.
I did the steps as he did (i promise), but the installation got stuck a 14 %, and said : Error 0x8007045D invalid file or...etc...
I searched on the internet and othe forums, and found the following answers :

1--> The ISO file i used was corrupted
2--> My HDD was broken

So, i kept trying to fix the 1st problem, with no success ( i downloaded at least 4 different windows 7 home premium 64 bit isos and tried to install them with usb)
But same failure : error 0x8007045D
please advise me what to do, what steps i should do to try and make one of the isos work, because abandonning the HDD will be the last thing i will try :/

Thanks to all that have read this !
My hope lies on you !

Edit: I actually encountered both errors (0x8007045D and 0x80070057)

Never run two AV's, especially when one is Norton Bloatware.

I would uninstall both as a test and install recommended Microsoft Security Essentials.

You'll need to run the special uninstall tool for grossly bloated AV's: Uninstallers (removal tools) for common Windows antivirus software - ESET Knowledgebase

If this fails then try to System Restore back to before you installed the two AV's when it was working correctly.

If that fails then download, install and decline trial for Malwarebytes and SUPERAntiSpyware - Downloads
then run full scans with both.

Folllow that with SFC /SCANNOW Command.

Report back all results.

Then look over the steps for doing a perfect Clean Reinstall Windows 7 which includes everything that works best with Win7 based on tens of thousands of installs we've directly helped with here at the top tech forums.

Maybe i forgot to mention this, but my computer is completely empty, i wiped all the hard drive, all the space is free, and now i am trying to clean install Windows 7, but it keeps saying the error 0x8007045D.
I'm just trying to find a way to solve that.
Do you have any ideas how to ? I'm completely surpassed here...

Thanks for having replied so quickly !

Okay, your link is very interesting, i haved done all they said, and searched on google with new keywords and found out i that i have I/O device error.
I am now trying to see into this, and for now i am running the command chkdsk /R C:
and it is processing...

Edit: Windows has checked the file system and found no problems.
Failed to transfer logged messages to the event log with status 50.
and i see 0 KB in bad sectors
does that mean my HDD is still good ?

What did the HD Diagnostic CD full scan report?

Can you still run Dell Hardware Diagnostics from F12 Menu?

Do you have a UEFI BIOS? Is there a choice to boot the DVD or stick as a UEFI device?

IF you have a UEFI BIOS then you must format flash stick installer using the tool provided in Troubleshooting steps, and boot it only as a UEFI device. Same for disk.

Enter BIOS setup at boot to look for settings for CSM, UEFI, EFI, Legacy BIOS. Post back pictures of any of these settings choices.

My bios is the Dells Inspiron N5010 one, and no specification of any kind present, only this appears on top right corner :
Dell Inc.
Aptio Setup Utility-American Megatrends, Inc.

ok ran diagnostics and got this :

Error code 0146
msg: Error code 2000-0146
msg:Hard drive 0-self test log contains previous errors.
The given error code and message can be used by technical support to help diagnose the problem.
Do you want to continue testing ?

I selected yes
still testing...

Edit: No other problems found, seems that the HDD isnt working anymore ?
Weird though that i can still detect it and its empty space etc..
