I am a Proffessional Photographer who sent my Vista Computer in to be fixed and was called and told they were going to replace it with a new Windows 7. I take hundreds of pictures and its really important to me to be able to re-organize them within the same folder in the order I need and then rename them within that folder. I have found threads with info on downloading and making the windows allow you to do this, and have tried for hours. I'm either doing something wrong, or its not working. Please help with a little more detail on how to do this. I have the newest version of home premium and maybe that's the problem. My computer is a Toshiba Satellite L775-S7352. I would seriously appreciate any help. I like everything else about windows 7

Yes, that is the exact thread I tried to follow. Even now BOTH of those downloads are on my main screen. I followed the intructions step by step, and when I went to a folder to see if I could move my pictures, they are still frozen. My husband even tried. I don't know what I am doing wrong. But I follow each and every step.

Am I only supposed to do the first download to disable and not the second, I did all steps 1-10, then I did them again and again.

Just tried it step by step again. First I shut down my computer. Waited for the 45 updates to load, then restart. Right Clicked on "Reset_All_Folders_To_Default_Folder_Views" and did the (Merge) (Run) (Yes) (Yes) (OK) then this time I tried logging off just in case its defferent than re-starting. When I logged back on I righ clicked on "Disable_Windows_Explorer_Auto_Arrange" and did the (Merge) (Run) (Yes) (Yes) (OK) then I went to Re-start my computer. After when I go to my picture folder and try to move a picture, nothing happens. They won't move. Am I missing something? Am I supposed to go to another part of the computer to see if they move, or put my pictures somewhere else? I would even be happy if there was a program I could get that would load and allow me to move and arrange pictures. I really do like Win 7 I just have thousands of pictures that need to be arranged in many different folders and I need to be able to organize them myself. I really appreciate you trying to help. These forums can be hard cause your trying to help a stranger... I just wish I was smarter and more tech minded. Any more thoughts or ideas would be appreciated!
