Hi,

I just got a new HP with Windows 7. I've never worked with Windows 7/Windows Live Photo Gallery, but so far I really like it, with one exception. I'm in the process of scanning old family photos and I want to arrange them from the oldest photo to the newest photo, not by file name or date. I can't figure out how to do that. My mission is to scan the old photos, put them in order, write a caption and burn CD/DVD's so I can give them to my family. If Windows Live Photo Gallery doesn't have the capability to do what I want, does anyone know of a program (free or not) that will? This is driving me nuts!

I just bought this wonderful HP PC a couple of weeks ago to replace my old Dell with Windows XP that was vert tired. I have a mission with my new PC to scan 100's of family photos, give them captions, organize them from the earliest photos to the latest and burn my project so I can give family members a copy. I've been working (trying) with the Windows Live Photo Gallery. The program is working
Hiya pal.

FastStone image viewer (which is free) will allow you to view your images by date (oldest first) ;)

Sorry, I think you misunderstood my problem. I want to be able to move the pictures around in the folder the way "I want them", not by the actual file date shown in the properties. Thanks for your reply though.
