Good afternoon, I have problems with the Windows 7 Professional 64Bit image viewer, when opening an image and sending to printer, the viewer does not respect the printer settings. ex: If the printer is set to print on one side and set to black / white, in the windows viewer when I go to printer properties, it appears to me with the printer set to print on both sides and color. In other Photoshop software, Corel, AdobePDF, works perfectly. I also did the test on windows 10 using the windows viewer and it works correctly. The problem is that I have 40 computers running Windows 7 64bit. Has anyone had or has ever had this problem?

Hello grupors, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Firstly, Windows 10 Photo App is a different program to Windows 7 Photo Viewer. That is, just because you can do something in Windows 10, it does not necessarily imply that you can do the same in Windows 7.

Secondly, when using Windows 7 Photo Viewer, had you checked that you have specified the correct printer from the dropdown Printer Menu?

Thirdly, in the Photo Viewer > Options > Printer Properties Menu, check that you have selected the correct Paper Tray (if available) on your Printer.

Hope that helps.

Good morning, thank you for the tip here.
What happens is what's in the picture.
Image 1: Windows viewer with the printer "Escritorio"
Figure 3: How the printer is set on the control panel, Black and 1 Sided Printing
Image 2: How does the printer appear when I go to printer properties through Windows Image Viewer.

Notice that you do not respect the settings that are set directly on the drive, turning the color to automatic and 2-sided printing.

But this only happens with the windows image viewer, if you use PDF, Photoshop, Corel, the printer settings are retained like those in the control panel.

Hello grupors,

Now, I have not had this problem. However, I found this interesting post, with Solved answer. You may like to try the Solution. The Problem described is very similar to your own issue.
The Solution is to i) Uninstall Printer "ESCRITORIO" (Desktop) from Control Panel > Devices and Printers, and then ii) re-install the Printer again.

Good Morning,
Thanks for the posted topic, but the friend did not say how he solved this problem. I have already removed the drivers, including the drivers directly in the print spool. I reinstalled with more updated drivers, but the problem still persists.

Hello,
I would start to suspect that there are two Printers called "Escritorio" or, that Printer "Escritorio" has two Paper Trays.

Good afternoon
There are 2 printers called "office" in our network, however, it is a Canon IRC220 printer, there are 3 paper feeders. I still can not solve the problem, I remind you again that only with the Windows Viewer does the problem happen.

Would you consider using a really easy free program instead? And it does a lot more. It's Irfanview at https://www.irfanview.com/
and I've always used it for simple edits and sorting instead of Windows Image Viewer.
