Hi
I installed windows 7 on a fresh, quick formatted Ocz Agility 3 hard drive. Everything worked fine until first reboot then during checking of register files it rebooted and got error bootmgr missing.

What can be the cause of this?

I tried repair with the install disk, and when the repair console searches for windows 7 versions it find two versions one with zero size and the other 110000 something bytes.

I tried bootrec/ScanOs, no Os shows up maybe reflecting the zero size version. How can i resolve this issue?

Thanx for any help, please:confused:in

My guess would be that you made a mistake when you formatted the SSD. you have 2 options:

1. Clean (but not Clean All) the SSD with cmd on your installation disc. Then reinstall from the installation disc.

2. Format the SSD correctly and install again. The commands are:

Diskpart
List disk
Select disk n (where n is the number that was given for your SSD in List disk)
Clean
Create partition primary align=1024
Format fs=ntfs quick
Assign
Active
Exit

Tried your option marked #2. Same thing happened. Finalization of install after first reboot gets interupted ( i get a black or blue screen with some text i dont get to read since it imediately reboots). I go into repair, now only one windows 7 version shows up, so partly solved:).

Now it resumes finalization of the installation but i get the error saying: "windows could not configure one or more system components. To install Windows, restart the computer and then restart the installation."

Could this be due to drivers missing? One option before install is "load driver".

Should i load the newest SATA drivers for my motherboard Asus Maximus II Formula?

Intel(R) Matrix Storage Manager Driver V8.9.0.1023 for Windows 32/64bit XP & Windows 32/64bit Vista & 32/64bit Windows 7.(WHQL)

Intel(R) AHCI/RAID Driver Disk for Windows 32/64bit XP & Windows 32/64bit Vista & 32/64bit Windows 7.

Marvell 6121 SATA Driver V1.2.0.69 for 32/64bit Windows7.

Thanks again for help:)

I had a similar situation recently when I tried to transfer the OS onto an Agility of a friend. Tried for 20 hours to make this thing work - but in vain. We finally sent it back and he got a Crucial M4 which worked flawlessly.

Unfortunately there are some OCZs that are defunct. I myself have 3 OCZ Vertex which work well, but those Agilities seem to be fragile.
