I am trying to burn the iso to a usb to be able to boot from. The computer i am putting 7 on has already run windows 7 in the past but had been formatted and switched to a linux os. I do not have admin rights on any of the computers that i can use and i need to create the installation usb on another computer. Is there anything that is just an executable program that will format and burn the iso to the usb without the need for admin rights? I have already been searching online for like 2 weeks off and on so i finally decided to just ask a question to anyone who is better with 7 than I. If it makes a difference, i am only able to access 64-bit hp computers that run windows 7 professional.
Any help would be great.
P.S. I already have the actual .iso still in tact on another separate usb drive. Do they expire or anyting because i downloaded it 2 or 3 months ago and saved it so i wouldn't have to do the whole 4 hour download of the 2.4 GB file again.

Got The ISO Burned

I was able to get onto another computer running Windows 7 at my house.

I downloaded the Windows 7 DVD/USB tool
Then, I was able to successfully burn the iso file entitled "X17-58996.iso" to the flash drive but then I tried to install by booting from the flash drive.

This is another place I ran into problems.
The computer that I am attempting to fix is not the one in my specs because the one in my specs is the one I use most.

Specs on pc affected
HP G60-441US
original os: windows vista
Manufactured '09
more specs here

When i try to install windows 7 home premium it wont give me an available hdd to put the version of windows on...
Do I have to manually format the hard drive because of the fact that I am switching from Ubuntu, the linux os
Any help is much appreciated but note the problem with burning the iso image to the flash drive is solved
Thanks, Lapins

@Megahertz07 Windows 10 is now basically free. You can download it from Microsoft's website then make your installation USB. It doesn't even ask if you have key anymore. The only downside is you get a permanent water mark and you can't change the back ground.

I screwed up the hard drive on my laptop some time ago and lost my Windows 10 key. I've been using the free copy ever since. I wouldn't use Windows 7/8 unless you have a very specific need just for those builds.

Sarama, let me remind you're at SEVEN forum.
You wrote a post (on an old treat) that isn't true for Win 7 Installation disk.
For Win 10 installation disk what you wrote is true, not for Win 7.

Win 10 OEM doesn't have a COA key. If you do a clean reinstall (of the same brand) to a computer that once had Win 10 it will activate. If yours didn't, it's because you installed a Pro version when your computer had a Home version.

As you have and love Win 10 you should subscribe to Win 10 forum. Windows 10 Forums
