Hi please can you help me,

I have a windows 7 Home premium 64 bit, and the problem is my computer keeps crashing to blue screen and restarting. I've checked my drive for errors and checked my memory and have found nothing!!!

I've done a restore system to an earlier point in time and the problem still persists...

I think your right it is hardware but it seems like it's my additional hardware plugged in via USB! I decided to remove my USB devices before I install the new drivers for my notebook and (((so far so good no blue screen!)))

However it's a shame these USB hardware devices are so important to my craft. See basically I do music production and I have two audio sound-cards linked together (via spdif digital out to in) then both USB cables from each hardware set-up (2 USB cables) are connected to my notebook.

I've followed the exact requirements needed to link both of these hardware devices up with my hardware manuals; however maybe the drivers are the issue. One of my hardware is a focusrite VRM reference audio box and the other is my main external sound card device 'Line 6 UX2' linked together via SPDIF (see pic attached) like I mentioned I followed the manual instructions to use both devices into one as it suggests. How can I go about fixing this do you think in order for it to work with my windows 7 64. Would it be the power of these devices effecting the USB inputs for each one (as i'm using a usb cable for each hardware device? or would it be my USB input drivers need updating.
It makes sense a little this issue I think because occasionally my windows would not shut down with these devices hooked up to my notebook on the odd occasional.

Any help would be truly a blessing thanks to get this to function correctly.

I'm following through each step thoroughly...however having a few issues...this is what i've done so far for each step...

1) Ensure that none of the hardware components are overclocked. Hardware that is driven beyond its design specifications - by overclocking - can malfunction in unpredictable ways.

I'm not sure how to check if my components are overclocked, is there a specific way to do this?. Here are my details from 'Periform Speccy' with given temps'

2) Ensure that the machine is adequately cooled. If there is any doubt, open up the side of the PC case (be mindful of any relevant warranty conditions!) and point a mains fan squarely at the motherboard. That will rule out most (lack of) cooling issues.

Does not seem to be overheating....

3) Update all hardware-related drivers: video, sound, RAID (if any), NIC... anything that interacts with a piece of hardware. It is good practice to run the latest drivers anyway.

A number of updates were found using third party driver update detector 'driver genius professional 11' (23 drivers) were found. I installed a few updates it states. However one update was disruptive to my audio (not sure what driver update did this). It made it very tinny and extremely bad distorted quality So I decided to do a windows system restore before the installed driver updates. This is how far I am with my driver updates afraid to say. But my audio quality is back to normal.

4) Update the motherboard BIOS according to the manufacturer's instructions. Their website should provide detailed instructions as to the brand and model-specific procedure.

I contacted ASUS today regarding this task they suggested my BIOS would be updated via ASUS live update. They suggest I back up my drives externally and do a complete re-installation of windows by pressing F9 key at start (which I have not done as of yet, just in case i solve this BSOD problem with your steps). They also suggested if the re-installation does not fix the BSOD it will need repairing.

5) Rarely, bugs in the OS may cause "false positive" 0x124 events where the hardware wasn't complaining but Windows thought otherwise (because of the bug). At the time of writing, Windows 7 is not known to suffer from any such defects, but it is nevertheless important to always keep Windows itself updated.

All windows updates installed correctly...

that's pretty much how far i've got. I'm just backing my driver documents externally on a separate hard drive.

From what I can tell you are running DDR3/1600 dual channel ram that doesn't match your motherboard but does match your cpu. This is not scary because your ram is probably running at 1333 as per motherboard. Specs on laptop and notebooks are very hard to find and vary quiet a bit. If you or anybody else haven't changed hardware or the location of ram modules things should work okay. Hardware wise in my opinion because it worked before in this configuration.
I really don't know why your ram doesn't match your laptop and it's motherboard specs of 1333.

thanks for your time out, I'm sure it's ok i've had it for some time now and no serious problems apart from now with regards to my BSOD, i think i'm getting somewhere contacting the seller for additional help and ASUS who have been helpful also.

The seller has given me additional instructions with removing the RAM to see if that works.
