Hi, This has probably been asked loads of times but i need help in finding windows 7 keys. I have seen all the websites that offer keys next to nothing and the ones that are really expensive. Does anyone on the forums know of a good supplier that i can buy a few license from at a good price.
Thanks
Classic:D

Hiyya Classic mate it would be handy to know what version you wanted 7 / 8 home Pro Ultimate etc and just where you are:)

It depends on what you mean by expensive too would just a plain ordinary OEM version be ok?

For example I can get a Home 7 OEM for $115 out here and the trouble is 7 is rising in price - again out here it is.

I could be wrong but I think the rules laid out by Microsoft now are that you have to buy keys from them Get a new Windows product key - Microsoft Windows Help

Hi ICit2lol,

Well what I need is just the windows 7 Pro x86 key. I have seen them expensive on some sites and not so expensive on other sites. Its a bit unclear to me if I can buy a key from sites claiming to be legit, they are really cheap. I have heard of folk claiming they have no problem with these sites. I just want to know what sites have people used in the past?

Thanks
Classic

If you choose oem (system builder), it is the exact same, except you can't move it to another machine. You don't get any technical support from MS . I don't know anybody who wants technical support from MS.

Full retail you can move to another machine.

Most of the pro oem come with 64 dvd installation media. It doesn't matter, the key works for 32 or 64, but oem versions are cheapo , so they only supply one dvd. You can get the installation media from here, both bit versions

Windows 7 Direct Download Links, Official Disk Images from Digital River

You want the SP1 U ( media refresh ) . they accept all valid keys, including oem (system builder).

As SIW says mate I wouldn't go near those sites. I visited my brother in the UK last year and he had bought a Windows 7 CD from Ebay just before I got there and to cut a VERY long story short it turned out to be an old Dell disk that some bloody ratbag had put on as usable.
Luckily for us when I phoned Microsoft and explained the situation and they let us activate it and for that they are to be commended because they could have been non cooperative and we would have been stuck with a non usable OS and looking for a fellow up north who liked baseball bats cos we were going to give him a few tips on how to use them LOL!!

Thanks

ANY site that's selling just Keys is a rip-off - the ONLY legal vendor of Keys for download versions was MS itself.

Stick to the big-box stores - where OEM System Builder license are probably the only ones still available, since MS stopped shipping Retail some time ago, and are about to stop shipping OEM SB packs (they should have done so some time ago, but have held off so far thanks to the failure of Win8).
