Solved Windows 7 Magnifier - Cannot Choose Full Screen Option

Since a typing program was installed, the option to select full screen on the magnifier is greyed out. Un-installing the typing software didn't remedy the problem and when the drop down menu on the magnifier is clicked, the full screen menu option is still inaccessible. I Googled this problem and a suggestion was made that this option is only available with the Aero theme. My current theme is a customized one and the option for full screen was available before. Also switching to the Aero scheme didn't make any difference.

I discovered what was causing this problem. The software which was installed also added Apple Quicktime which seems to be incompatible with Aero causing the theme to revert to Windows Basic. Closing Quicktime remedied the problem.
