Hi there,

I am sorry if this has been solved elsewhere, I have looked around several websites and still my problem persists.

I am trying to view movies from my Windows 7 x64 PC on my xbox 360.

They are both connected throguh a Linksys WRT54G Wireless Router and worked on with my old computer running vista 32.

I have right clicked files/folders on my PC and shared with "Everyone" & "Homegroup" but still no luck. I managed to stumble across "Media Streaming Options" when I click the Turn on media streaming" button, it clicks but then jsut reverts to unlicked and doesnt enable it...

I have added folders to Libraries and shared within that, but still no luck.

I can't think or find much else.

Any help would be appreciated as I'm getting quite frustrated.

Thanks a lot

What Libraries are you refering to Media centre/Win Media Player?

If WMP - once all added to library, turn on xbox, in sharing section the xbox should be recognised, you will need to say yes to it. go to videos on xbox and select PC, this method should work.

If not;

use MC - run MC on PC, add media to library, go to settings, add extender, it guides you through quite straight forward. either MC or xbox will give a code to enter into the other (i cant remember which).

Let us know the outcome.

What format are you movies in? Depending on your format they may not be visible to the extender without some tweaks.

For instance, for ISO you'll need my Mount Image tool. For VIDEO_TS you'll need a transcoder (I have one available as well).
