Windows 7 Multi-Monitor Taskbar - Confirmed?

Hello all,

I read recently that upon release, windows 7 will have multi-monitor taskbar support, which I'm very excited about. Is anyone able to confirm this, as it seems that they were already shipping win7 when this news emerged.

If I can pin programs to one monitor or the other, and have 2 "show desktop" buttons, then I'll be a very happy man.

Yes that's definate, I'm running RTM and it only supports a taskbar on one of my five monitors

Welcome to Seven Forums.

These articles are from last year. Haven't seen or heard anything since. Haven't downloaded the RTM yet, but if it was there someone would have mentioned it I think.

That is incredibly frustrating, god damn you microsoft!

Guess I'll have to keep using DisplayFusion Pro then.. you can't pin anything to the taskbar, it can't interact with the other taskbar, and there's no second 'Show Desktop' button.

i use ultramon on xp/vista. Have you checked out the forums?
I'm sure it'll be fully working in 7 soon enough!

I wouldn't mind a mirrored taskbar in all monitors ... the current one at 1920 pixels wide is sufficiently wide since I'm using True Launch Bar for launch shortcuts, but it's sometimes a pain to have to navigate from one mon to another just to launch etc.
