Windows 7 No sound

I had the sound up an running so i know it works but i've tried restarting it a couple times now and nothing. Is there anything in the control panel i sound absolutely have up for windows seven i might have clicked off or anything? I'm a real noob, please talk slowly

It is probably just the driver. Try re-installing it.

I did, i tried to reload it twice and its still not working. It was working at one point but i'm not sure what went wrong

Do you have a Realtek chip? Onboard sound? Fill in your hardware specs. Is this system factory or home built?
