Another test if you don't mind might be easier than swapping out psu's for sure,

Take out 4gb's of ram and test
Then swap out the 4gb of ram with the other 4gb's and test :/

You can also if not already tried go to your bios and disable fast start up or speed stepping and see what happens ?

Also tried with the RAM and same story. Still not shutting down as it should. I even tried using another RAM stick I had laying around.

I also disabled Turbo boot in BIOS also didn't work.

I guess I should tried swapping the PSU see if that is the problem.

Yep well we talked about this component some time ago and the volts on the different rails were showing some abnormalities in both the test I posted and what cyclops did. It isn't a big deal to swap it out and I think I did mention it is very underrated as a problem component.

If the psu is modular it's not really a big deal to change out
If it's not modular it is a pain to swap but I suppose it's the logical next step

I finally I fixed the problem after so many months.

I recently upgraded to Win 10 hoping the problem would go away as nothing else that I had tried until now had worked. No luck, Win 10 didn't solve anything. So I started looking into converting the drive from GPT to MBR. That is certainly a downgrade but I do not plan on having HDs over 1 TB on that PC with no more than 4 partitions on the drive. I can't be sure but I think that the problem lies with the Bios not being fully compatible with GPT and since there is no Bios update for that board I have no other choice.

Anyways the computer is now shutting down completly.

I would like to thank every person that contributed to this thread and tried their best in solving my problem.

Yes well that sounds like the go mate personally I do not like any drives over 500GB because of bad experiences in the past and one can lose a lot of data with the large ones - the only large ones I would keep would be externals and even then I still don't like them.
