build 7057 is far from stable as for example 7048 was.

Let's add 7057 x86s keeps locking up tighter than Fort Knox on me. If MS keeps tweaking the pretty stuff and introducing code flaws we aren't going to see RC for awhile i'm afraid.

New project(2013)...Another low power server. Zotac H67ITX, i3-2100T, Windows Server 2012 Essentials on Samsung SSD.
Previous project...Low power (38-40 watts using Kill-a-Watt) Windows Home Server. Zotac ION (Atom 330, GeForce9400), 4GB RAM, 2x2TB WD Green, IN WIM miniITX Case. Fits on a shelf in laundry closet, practically silent.
Main probs I've seen (not really show stopping but could be problematic for "inexperienced" users.

1) Install seems to hang on random machines -- better hardware machines seem to take longer than smaller laptops.

Most inexperienced users at least like to see a disk light / led working. If the computer looks like it's doing nothing they will assume it's hung up.

2) Networking drivers seem to be random whether they work or not - especially on the 64 bit version -- wireless connections however do seem to be better.

3) TV cards etc are a pain to get working properly unless you use Windows Media Center -- which while not horrible is rather inflexible -- can't add extra sources such as Composite video etc and if you DO configure it as a Cable / set top box it needs a REMOTE to function.

4) Setting up home networks and file sharing also seems to be random -- sometimes you can see XP machines -- othertimes the XP machines are more securly hidden than Osama Bin Laden's lair.
(The XP machines however can usually see the W7 boxes).

5) sometimes it's the devils own job to get the manufacturers driver to install instead of the Microsft supplied one. It should be easier to configure the machine to select the driver sources in the order YOU want. (I know it CAN be done but we are talking about typical inexperienced users installing OS'es possibly for the first time).

6) lots more drivers need to be developed -- this appears to be progressing nicely but a load more work to be done.

Cheers
jimbo

However I'm sure this is being worked on
