Windows 7 restore issues and BSOD

I have an hp pavillion dv4 series laptop with windows 7 home premium x64. Recently I was getting some sort of error with widows bootloader configuration data and windows failed to start. So I ordered recovery discs from hp to do a restore and while running them, the program hung at 100%...I shut down the computer and restarted the process only to be met with a bsod. Really stuck on this one :|
