Hi everyone,

I have edited the registry remotely on an machine on the network, to add the followings to the registry.
Windows 7 32-bits pro
Everything worked perfect, but after login, the machine takes longer than expected with a black screen. It happened on 3 other ones too.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts]
"Chaloult_Cond_Demi_Gras Normal (TrueType)"="CHALCDGN.TTF"
"Chaloult_Cond Normal (TrueType)"="CHALCN__.TTF"
"Chaloult_Demi_Gras Normal (TrueType)"="CHALDGN_.TTF"
"Chaloult_Gras_Italique Normal (TrueType)"="CHALGIN_.TTF"

Can someone help me? Thank you!!

If you have a restore point from before you edited the registry, I'd do a system restore to see if that corrects the slow machine/black screen issue.

I don't know if this will help your situation but I remember a problem way back when with IE6. (Not a typo, IE6.) There was something called "CJK Unified Ideographs Extension A" characters. When these characters were encoded as UTF-8 in Internet Explorer 6, they would not appear correctly in Web pages. To fix the problem something called SimSun-18030 had to be added all font link registry entries. The procedure was:

1. Open regedit
2. Open the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\FontLink\SystemLink directory
3. In registry editor, right-click a font that contained SimSun in the Data field and select Modify
4. In the Edit Multi-String dialog box, under Value data, click under the selected strings and type the following string:SimSun18030.ttc,SimSun-18030
5. Click OK
6. Repeat for every font that contains SimSun
7. When finished, close registry editor

The point of all this is perhaps you have to edit the multi-string dialog box (or whatever the Windows 7 equivalent is) in addition to what you added to the registry.

As I said, I have no idea if this will help but maybe it will point you in another direction. My apologies if this is a total waste of your time.
