Hi

I have just done a fresh installation of Windows 7.

As soon as I installed Adobe Reader it has slowed my laptop down alot

Take around 15 seconds to load up a page at time and generally opening apps has slowed down

I have even uninstalled it but still Windows 7 is running slow

Using Dell XPS 13 I7-4510U with 512gb SSD

Can anyone advise what to do?

I have limited amount of apps installed such as

Winrar
Office
Torguard
Utorrent
Chrome & Mozilla

Hello A3CIB, and welcome to SevenForums:),

I am not an expert in this but you can "Google", turn of Protected mode.

It seems to help a lot of people speeding up Adobe Reader.

Have a look in Edit- Preferences - General- and deselect protective mode. If it does not work for you, you can always put it back on.
