Thanks Brink, I found that page while I was waiting.
Oddly, I don't have Aero enabled. It's one of the first things I disable when I reinstall W7.
I hadn't done the reg fix, though, but it's now in place.

The problem is that if you're in the habit of moving open windows quickly, they can be 'snapped' against the nearest screen margin. Which can be annoying if all you wanted was to drag the window under a screen margin or taskbar with just a little left showing, ready to be dragged back into view when you feel like it.

That's my experience, anyway. In my case, above, it was an open Notepad (actually Editpad Lite) that misbehaved when I moved it too quickly.
