Windows 7 StartUp Issue

Hi, im new here, i dont know if this thread belong to this topic but, heres the deal, i was using it perfectly yesterday, i was downloading a video, and suddenly it froze so i keep power button until it turned off, when i tried to start it again i hit power and it appears a screen like the one when you are installing it, it appears the repair option and command, memory check, etc, but when i hit repair nothing, when i use the command prompt i use all the commands bootrec bootsect /fixboot /fixmbr /rebuildbcd /scanos and the result i get is NOTHING (0), when i use fixmbr and fixboot it says, successful, but when i restart the pc, i got the same.

PS: Theres no usb attached or so, an it does appears the C: i mean all the files are there when i use Dir....

Try a hard disk check. Download the appropriate program, and run a scan: Hard Drive Diagnostics Tools and Utilities (Storage) - TACKtech Corp.

Hello idwi;

It looks like the "SeaTools for Dos" v2.17 link from Jonathan_King's post is the Hard Drive Utility to use for your Maxtor 250GB hard drive. I would suggest you download the "SeaTools for DOS (ISO CDROM Image)" from the link provided, then burn it to a CD. Make sure is it bootable, then boot your computer to the CD and run the utility to check your hard drive for possible defects.

Burn and use.
With win 7, all you need to do is to right-click on the iso file and choose to open with Windows Disk Image Burner.

I do not have the software running in front of me, but I assume you will select your hard drive and run the hard drive tests. The test results will say if there are any errors found on the hard drive and whether it is ok to continue to use the drive or replace it?

Yes there is a communication gap between us ... are we to understand that you ran the SeaTools Utility, checked your hard drive, and found no errors or did not correct any problems? What did it say when finished?

After that you tried to start Windows 7 again and again was taken to the "Repair Windows" option? And you are still not able to start Windows?

Exactly, it was running but it appears a black screen saying to reboot the pc and that theres a log with the name of the disk, and then appears the pics i've uploaded again
