Hello...

I have 6 Windows systems in our office, all on the same network with files / folders shared across.

There is this problem that every day till at a specific time, generally 5:00 PM or so this particular system is not visible on the network The funny thing is that thereafter it works just about fine.

Any ideas / suggestions why this might be happening?

Regards

Hi neerajgs,

There is this problem that every day till at a specific time, generally 5:00 PM or so this particular system is not visible on the network The funny thing is that thereafter it works just about fine.

Are there any network maintenance programs that run at that time that need to take down the network availabilty for a while for the processes to run?

If it's been turned off it will take time to register in the master browser when it's not visible can you print or connect via name or IP. If you can ping by IP but not name it's master browser problem
