Hello everyone. I rebooted my computer today and now every time I try and bring it up it goes in to the recovery console and doesn't show that I have an operating system loaded. I have tried everything from safe mode, to last known good config, vga mode, tried repairing errors, and nothing works. I tried System Restore from the Recovery Console options but it kept reading that I must "Select an operating system in order to continue". Obviously, I can't select one if it isn't there to do so. Gggrrr....I think my hard drive is going bad from a diagnostic test, so I need to get it booted up just long enough to create a backup so I don't lose years worth of work. ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

I think my hard drive is going bad from a diagnostic test,

If your HD drive diagnostic test, said you have bad drive, it needs to be replaced.

Yes, I realize it needs to be replaced. However, as I stated, I'm just trying to get it to boot so that I can create a Windows backup and restore it on a new drive so that all my programs, settings, etc. are still there.
