Windows 7 Ultimate won't start without installation DVD.

I formatted my hard disk (it has two partitions) and installed Windows 7 Ultimate on one of the partitions.Then when I tried to start Windows 7 Ultimate it said that I must repair the Windows installation.I tried to repair with Windows repair disk the start up but Windows 7 Ultimate won't boot again and says "bootmgr is missing".I tried again to repair with the command prompt,to rebuild with "BOOTREC/REBUILDBCD but it still won't boot.It boots only if I change the Bios and make my DVD as the first booting device and put my Windows 7 DVD on it.If I put other disks it won't boot.Can anyone tell me a way of how to boot without the Windows 7 DVD on the drive.Thank you.

I would reinstall,
It sounds like your boot sector didnt build correctly.

I have reinstall Windows with Windows 7 DVD but still it won't boot and says that I must repair Windows 7.

If you have access to another pc I would download and burn a program called bootnuke and zero out your hard drive and try again.

Make sure the Win7 partition or it's 100mb System Reserved partition (preferred if you have it) is marked Active first: Partition - Mark as Active (Method Two)

Then boot into DVD to run Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times to repair or rewrite the System boot files.

If this fails try Casey's idea to wipe the HD using Diskpart Clean Command.

Where did you get your Windows 7 DVD? Did you burn it from a file or buy it somewhere (if so where)?
