After over a year being down finding NO solution to this issue. This was caused after an Avira AV deinstallation.

BSOD on bootup. Last Known Good Configuration was nothing. Tried startup repair found no solution. Cannot boot into any safe mode. No System Restore nor image backup.

Ran chkdsk f/ /r, drive integrity good and memory. Next ran sfc /scannow - no integrity violations.

Attempted SATA Mode from AHCI to IDE in BIOS. Ran bcdedit command - bootmgr ok - bootloader to correct partition of winload.

DISM, Fixboot, Fixmbr, & nt60 all /MBR also did nothing.

Infinite Loop Recovery Repair did not work.

The only thing I can suggest is load the system hive and get rid of anything in services associated with avira. I dont know the filenames you would be looking for. I am not familiar with Avira.

Or you can upload the system hive in a zip file and somebody might have a look

I had previously backed up registry with Emergency Recovery Utility NT. When I tried to restore the settings after uninstalling the AV it all went snafu on me!

There might be an entry in the registry for a driver which is no longer on your system.

not in software. in the system hive

check if you have hive backups in windows\system32\config\regback

they will only be any use if they were made before you installed avira
