Hi,

My parents in law havan Aspire X1700. They are getting a BSOD while doing nothing spectacular, just browsing. I brought the pc home, started it up and got 1 BSOD, none after that. They told me they could use the computer for a couple minutes before the BSOD appears.

I tried the following things:
- Windows Memory check, no problems
- Windows Install files check, no problems
- Windows HDD check, no problems
- Updated Nvidia drivers
- Cleaned registry with ccleaner

They did not do anything out of the ordinary, they only use the computer for facebook, browsing the web, email etc. Nothing which stresses the computer. I could reinstall windows, but my parents in law are digital illiterate, so i try to avoid doing this if not necassary.

I added the zip as requested. Anyone got any tips?

Hi axe0!

Thank you :) And thx for the help. I just ran it again. I hope the files are complete this time. The command prompt starts with 'press any key to continue', does all things and ends with the same note.

However, after adding the attachment I notice the file size decreased instead of increasing? So if they are still missing, how come? And what to do toobtain them?

Thank you!

The new dumps are missing and there are several other files missing.

Please re-run the tool and upload the zip file.

If you are using a program like Ccleaner please stop using it while troubleshooting.
This because programs like Ccleaner remove dump files that are needed to troubleshoot.
Or configure Ccleaner to not remove dump files:
