Hi all,
I wish to create a new windows 7 install on another drive but the updates are not working. My drive is failing and i need to create a new install on another drive but without doing a copy/back up due to it hasnt had a fresh install for some time and has far too many registry entries and takes ages to boot up. So i wish to create a new install with all the updates (manually installed if nessercery) and then create a installation disk with the new windows 7 and updates install prior to installing anything else.
I would like to download the updates and store them on a drive for future installs so i can continue using windows 7 (should i need to install a fresh copy again in the future) The microsoft update centre no longer stores these updates for me to download and save on a drive.
Does any one know of a site/location where i can select and download windows 7 updates from a fresh install?
Windows 7 home premium 64 bit service pack 1 (currently).
Additional: Is there a way of activating my new install of windows 7 by copying a file from the already activated version of windows 7?
Thanks in advanced for any help.
