Windows 7 v/s Windows XP Games Support

This is my system info:

I was using Windows XP Service Pack 3 earlier[32-bit]... My problem is that I have updated all the drivers including Graphic Card but still Games are not running as smoothly as they used to run on XP.. Is it true that windows 7 32-bit is more compatible than 64-bit??

My graphic card details are:
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT
Display Memory: 2796 MB
Dedicated Memory: 1024 MB
Shared Memory: 1790 MB

Please help guys because the main reason I switched to Win7 was because of DirectX support..

I dont think so mate i have a new rig with Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
and it is working relly good evrey game runs good even old games
and thay run better than on my old rig with Windows XP Home 32bit

OS - Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit OS - Windows XP Home 32bit

All my games run better on my new rig
Crysis , Crysis Warhead , Crysis 2 Demo , Metro 2033 , Mafia II , Just Cause 2 , Call Of Duty : Black Ops ,
Battlefield Bad Company 2 , Batman Arkham Asylum , STALKER Call Of Pripyat ,
Dragon Age Origins And All Splinter Cell 1,2,3,4,5

So i just think you need to instal it again and see if it dos it
