I recently purchased a GSky GS-27USB-70 for my wife's computer which has Windows Vista. The disc installed it fine and it works. However, my question: I have a new Emachines laptop with Windows 7. When I tried to install and use it on mine, the disc read that my system was not supported. Is there any way to use this antenna with Windows 7? Thanks!

Best Solution for Win7 GS-27USB Driver

I skipped using the driver installation CD completely since I bought the GS-27USB-50 on eBay for $18.99 and the CD was in Chinese. To install the driver I simply plugged the GS-27USB into a USB port and let Windows 7 find the driver online. It searched for about 2 minutes, then installed Realtek RTL8187 driver automatically.

The GS-27USB-50 works great and moved my reception from a wifi router 150 feet away over a building from 1 bar to 4, with the speeds test results below. That $19 investment will save me $60/month in a Sprint broadband card.:D

I followed the same procedure for my laptop with Vista and it works great too.
