Guys, my Windows Seven won't boot. From a day to another, and i didn't do anything, the only thing i remember is that i installed a Windows Update.

When i power on my computer and choos Windows 7 from the Boot Manager, it shows me the loading screen for a few second, then Startup Repair appears saying that it's looking for the problem and will automatically fix it.
It doesn't work, "Startup Repair cannot repair this computer automatically", problem event name "StartupRepairOffline".
So i tried to boot with the Windows Seven disc, but neither System Restore tool works , giving me this error code: 0x80070002.

What to do? Already lost an entire day. :(

Boot the Win7 DVD Repair console or Repair CD, see if it finds an installation to repair.

If so, run Startup Repair from disk repeatedly, accepting System Restore add-in. Write down what the cause and fix given is from link before restarting each time.

If not, report back for additional steps.

You can copy out your files while booted into DVD/CD this way: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/93347-copy-paste-windows-recovery-console.html

Is this a factory install - did you make your Recovery Disks? What is the model?

I booted the Windows 7 dvd, it finds my Windows 7 installation.
So i click on "Repair your computer", but neither Startup Repair ("can not find the problem" or something like that) or System Restore (always gives error code: 0x80070002) work successfully.

It's not a factory install, i assembled this computer personally a year ago.

I noticed that Startup Repair thinks that my Windows 7 installation is in D:\, but it should be in C:\.
Is it normal?
