Windows 7 x64 craches while trying to play something

Hi, so i'm having problem that my windows 7 x64bit is freezing all the time when i'm trying to play something ( ex. world of the warcraft:tlk). also, i figured out, that when i type Score my pc it also freezes at part: Running the Direct3D ALU Assessment.
I think it's my drivers problem, but maybe you could help a little bit with that, because i don't know from where i should start.

Try this:
Right click on the WOW shortcut, choose Properties, then Compatibility tab.
Settings check the box for “Disable desktop composition”...Apply/OK.

See if this works while playing WoW, newer drivers might not help due to the age of the card, but it is worth a shot.

197.13 are the newest ones for your card.

But what about my PC crashes while trying to score my pc?
Now i'm updating my video card drivers, but maybe i should also try to install vista type drivers since it's almost the same?

When it crashes during WEI, it is going thru aero testing (DirectX desktop). New drivers possibly can fix this, might have to turn down aero settings or use basic theme due to the age of the card.

Also it freezes when stressed, this can be caused also by heat problems, gpu temps ok?

This definitely sounds like a graphics card problem. If the latest drivers do not work, you could try older ones as well.
What are the temps on your GPU/CPU while you are stressing it?
Try running FurMark (benchmark, not stress test) and see if that crashes it. Make sure to watch the temperatures as well.

not fast enough
ok, i tried bench test. in first time my pc crashed, after that i downloaded GPU-z utility to check my GPU's temp. It was 64C, but fan speed was 0%.

Hi.
My win7x64 is also crashing but only with BFBC2.
I can play World of Warcraft etc but after i install BFBC2 and update it the whole comp just freezez. even the blue round thingy(hourglass?) on the mouse while it loads something stops spinning.
i can hear computer running but nothing happens even if ill wait maaaany hours. dont know what it could be:confused:.
ALL drivers are newest possible checked and double checked!!!


Edit: And yes its Original windows and Original game dvd bought 13.03.2010

Seregrim, so you must understand me how annoying it is :) While my pc crashed from making something with card ( games/score my pc) it's getting to annoying for me, so i think i have only two option:
1. Buy new Video card
2. Back to windows xp, because i haven't had with it any Video card problems.
And honestly, i don't know what to do now ;D

i have set DxVersion=Auto

still nothing=(

The thing is i phoned EAsupport and they said i should try digital download.
Ok so i downloaded EADownloader and downloaded the digital copy BUT its the same thing!!! it still freeze my computer, and i need hand reboot the comp. ok then i start computer try to start game,then it says
"Game Data Files Are Corrupted Reinstall The Game and Try Again"
so i deleted all BFBC2 files and reinstall like over 10 times
still the ..... game wont work and freezes my computer... i just wanted to try the singleplayer it just wont work at all.
Really frustrated i downloaded Pirate version of the game and installed it copyed crack and WTH!!!?? it works.
So i completed singleplayer(it was awesome) but i want to play online.
i even tryed on my wifes computer(same comp setup) it wont work there either.
So its freaking me out WHY the Original version NOT working but Pirate version DOES:rolleyes:..

1.I have Ati Radeon HD4890 its working with other games and its enough to play BFBC2(tryed on Pirate version)
2.thats kinda weird why should i downgrade my windows to xp :eek: they said it works with win7x64 so im sooo lost with this game

not fast enough
Now it's off topic as i see, but let's back to real point.
1. I tried bench test and for first time my pc crashed. I rebooted it and tried one more time. That try was successfully.
2. My GPU temp was 64-67 ( info has been taken from several tries)
3. But now i can't figure out, what can make him to crash. Because bench test sometimes is successfully and some times not.
4. I think i will try to add my VGA card to another PC and check out if it's still crashing. If not, so problems is drivers.
Any more suggestions?

The thing is i phoned EAsupport and they said i should try digital download.
Ok so i downloaded EADownloader and downloaded the digital copy BUT its the same thing!!! it still freeze my computer, and i need hand reboot the comp. ok then i start computer try to start game,then it says
"Game Data Files Are Corrupted Reinstall The Game and Try Again"
so i deleted all BFBC2 files and reinstall like over 10 times
still the ..... game wont work and freezes my computer... i just wanted to try the singleplayer it just wont work at all.
Really frustrated i downloaded Pirate version of the game and installed it copyed crack and WTH!!!?? it works.
So i completed singleplayer(it was awesome) but i want to play online.
i even tryed on my wifes computer(same comp setup) it wont work there either.
So its freaking me out WHY the Original version NOT working but Pirate version DOES:rolleyes:..

Now it's off topic as i see, but let's back to real point.
1. I tried bench test and for first time my pc crashed. I rebooted it and tried one more time. That try was successfully.
2. My GPU temp was 64-67 ( info has been taken from several tries)
3. But now i can't figure out, what can make him to crash. Because bench test sometimes is successfully and some times not.
4. I think i will try to add my VGA card to another PC and check out if it's still crashing. If not, so problems is drivers.

1- code brackets if you do this (without the quotes and removing the "_") "[_code]" at the beginning, and "[_/code]" at the end anything between them will go in a code box.
