I am sorry if something similar to this was posted elsewhere, but I searched and couldn't find the fix for my specific issue.
About 8 months ago, when I had my windows 7 on a 1TB HDD and mostly stock parts on my computer, an issue started happening where every time I would start up my computer from it being completely shutdown my windows Aero would be disabled upon startup. My solution to this problem was to restart my computer. After I did so my computer would display Aero on startup. During January and February, Christmas and my birthday, I decided to get some new hardware in hopes that this Aero issue would go away and to have a faster system. So I got a new graphics card, motherboard, ram, cpu, and a fresh Windows 7 Ultimate system on a different HDD. I hoped this would get rid of that annoying windows Aero issue and make my system faster. Though my system runs much faster now windows Aero is still not displaying on system startup.
I have checked if DWM is disabled when the windows Aero is not working, the service is enabled but the dwm.exe process is not going. So I located the dwm.exe process and tried to manually start it, that didn't work. I tried to make it a startup program through CodeStuff Starter, that didnt work. I have tired the cmd command:
Net Stop usxms
Net Start usxms
I have even created a .bat file for that cmd command and had it automatically startup with my computer, that also didn't work. (Take note this only happens when my system has been shutdown completely). Whenever I troubleshoot windows aero it says it cannot find an issue. I have updated the windows experience index countless times. I have went into msconfig and done a clean boot and diagnostic startup. Its not showing my hardware to be the issue. This has to be software related or something.
Here is some extra information. I have done a mild overclock on my processor. Stock was 3.3Ghz, I overclocked it to 4.0Ghz. I have also done a mild overclock on my GPU. Its default was: 797core/1594shader/1950memory, I overclocked it to: 850core/1700shader/2100memory. Please take note this issue was present before I did any overclocking, and I have done 24hour stress tests to ensure that the overclocks are completely stable.
I am at a loss. I love Windows 7 so much but this is getting kind of annoying and I would be really happy if I could get this issue fixed. If you got this far into my post, thank you for reading and I hope there is a solution out there to my issue.
