Windows Aero Not Working (Intel 4000 HD Graphics)

Hello Win7 Forums!

I'm currently having trouble with Aero. I just reinstalled Windows 7 as I had a number of bugs and glitches that I needed to resolve. Before, Aero was working just fine. Now, however, Aero isn't working and just looks like the Win7 Basic theme. I have tried the troubleshooter; it says that my video card doesn't support Aero effects.

I have tried installing the latest Intel drivers to no avail (This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing this software. ) I have even tried force enabling Aero from the registry.

If anyone can help, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Based on your "My System Specs", I'm assuming you re-installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit in your HP (unknown model name and model number and serial number).

Did it include Service Pack 1?

Did you install any Windows 7 updates before you attempted to install the Intel HD Graphics 4000 graphics driver?
