Hello everyone, first I'd like to apologize for my approximative English and if I do any mistake I'm new here :)

So a few days ago I bought a new CPU and a motherboard to speed up my old PC (i5-6500 and B150 PRO VD D3). I asked a friend of mine who gets money from building PCs and today I got it back. He did an excellent job, everything is working fine, faster than ever. Although, I have a bit of a problem. I immediately noticed that Windows Aero wasn't working but I told myself it was normal since I had to install the graphics drivers and everything first. But I did that and it's still not working. A lot of people on the Internet seemed to have the same issue as me and I've spent an hour trying different solutions to the problem : "Desktop Window Manager Session Manager stopped working".

I can't remember everything I tried but here's some :

- The SFC scan (no errors found btw, which is pretty normal IMO)
- Writing in the registry "Blur", "Animations" and "UseMachineCheck"
- Ran a virus scan and CCleaner
- Checking that my colors were "True Colors (32 bit)"
- Checking that in "Services" the Manager was set to "Automatic", also restarted it

It's really weird because all other users who seem to have this problem have troubles with the sfc scan and not me.
I was really hyped to play on full HD with my new setup but this bothers me alot :(

Thank you if you take the time to answer :)

It's one of the things I forgot to mention I did ^^
Actually that's how I noticed first that Aero wasn't working. It displays "Cannot process assessment".

Also, I did some Windows update since then and it didn't change anything :(

As you stated in your first post there's a lot of people that have this problem and some of them have came here also some we find solutions for some we don't, I've seen where people had to reinstall Windows 7 just to get it to work again.

Sorry I don't have any more solutions.
