I have an HP Probook 440 G1. When trying to re-install Windows 7 Pro, after entering the product key found by Belarc Advisor, I got a message saying "windows cannot find the microsoft software license terms". I searched Internet and found articles talking about increasing VM memory. I'm not sure how to do it and also not sure why this has to do with VM.

In any event, anyone knows how I can solve my problem?

This laptop doesn't come with a product key sticker. I vaguely remember seeing the product key in UFEI but now, I don't know how to find it. I keep a printout by Belarc Advisor. So, I'm sure the product key is correct.

What operating system did your HP Probook 440 G1 come with?
What I find online is W-10.

Your system specs show this.
OS windows 7 home premium 32 bit

Then you say in post #1 you are trying to install this.

When trying to re-install Windows 7 Pro

It's very confusing.

I'm sorry for the confusing. I have several laptops. This is another one, not the one when I registered this account.

I'm trying to re-install 64 bit Windows 7 pro. This laptop is several years old. There was no Windows 10 at the time I purchased it.

1. What operating system did the computer come with??

2. Have you ever had Windows 7 on this computer before??
If so, where did you get it from??

3. Does this computer boot at this time??

Don't worry about VM, it has nothing to do with your installations.

**What I'm trying to understand is what state your computer is in now and what it was originally.

The HP Probook usually comes with 7 Pro installed.

The op will need the cert, or a coa key.
