windows cannot go to sleep

When I press on the sleep button, it will just bring me to the login menu where I enter my password. I typed in powercfg /requests into the command menu to see if there was something stopping my computer from sleeping.

My computer was able to sleep earlier yesterday. I even tried to restore my Windows partition to 4 days before, but that did not fix it. The only significant thing that I did was messing around in Linux.

Check your bios to see if you have S1/S3 selected for sleep mode.

It is currently set as auto. I booted onto Linux and see if I can sleep on there. It turns out that I also cannot sleep on Linux.

Yesterday, I was trying to fix my connection problem on Linux and the only way for me to fix it at the current time was to turn off my computer and then unplug the PSU from the outlet for like a minute. Then I can turn it back on and get a connection again. I did this probably like 4 or 5 times yesterday. Did this somehow damage something?

I reset my CMOS and when I tried to sleep again, the computer would attempt to sleep. I thought that it was fixed. However, 5 seconds after the screen turned all black, it came back up again and showed me the login screen.

Instead of Auto, would you try setting it to S3?

That didn't fix it. I did some more testing and it seems if I disable Hybrid sleep, I can go into sleep mode, but that is not what I want. I cannot go into hybrid sleep nor hibernate.

EDIT: I have tried everything on this thread http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/63567-power-options-sleep-mode-problems.html except for the motherboard jumpers. I don't think I have seen any jumpers except for the one for the CMOS. Still nothing =(
