So I got my new WD Caviar Black 1TB drive that I've been wanting to get for a while. It came in fine and I installed it then formatted and everything seemed to be ok.
I used it for about two weeks and now today when I started up my computer the Windows alert that says "Windows detected a hard disk problem" came up.
It says: "Back up your files immediately to prevent information loss, and then contact the computer manufacturer to determine if you need to repair or replace the disk."
What should I do? Is my new Terabyte drive really corrupted??
When just browsing to it in Windows Explorer it seems to work fine and I can still copy files or whatever. So how do I know if it's really bad?
I'll be pretty upset if I really need to RMA this back since I already made some backups on it and used about 200GB so far.
Thanks for any and all advice on this matter.
