I find avast free to work better then mse though that's just my oppion and have used both before with a couple months spread out through each and like avast better. I like how avast has a webshield that will do a pop up if you accidentally click on a known malicious site and it will automatically not let that page connect. I have malwarebytes on the side the free version which somtimes catches stuff that avast does not and that's just using the free stand alone free scanner with out the real time scanner in the paid version.
