Hi.
So days ago I tried to move my files from drive D to drive E. Files of more than 100GO and suddenly the pc freezes for a long time then restarts showing a blue screen I couldn't read what it said it was quick and restarted normally. ..everything was back to normal except for the drive E. .when i try to open a file or something inside this drive windows explorer freezes then stops and when I copy or cut (in any method ) it totally freezes and I end up doing a hard shut down.
I noticed that my ressources stay normal and the pc performances stay the same.

Many people posted this problem before and I tried every solution suggested. from CHKDSK to SFC/SCANNON or RUNNOW to changing all said parameters and registry keys.

The final attempt I did is to format my system. I did but nothing changed.
I think I need to format the E drive but my data there i can't delete nor move to save it .

Any idea Anyone?

Welcome to the forum

It maybe that your drive is dying or have a software issue.
Check your disk.
- On explorer, right click on C: - Properties - Tools tab - error check - Check now- Schedule to run on next boot.
- Reboot and pay attention on the results

Go to Event Viewer exactly in the time when explorer freeze and post what is says. Also, you say after it freeze, the PC restarts and show blue screen. If it still shows blue screen, right click My Computer > Properties. From there select Advanced System Settings > Startup and Recovery Settings > un-check Automatically Restart. Blue screen will not restart automatically now and you can write the error code on paper, then post it here. Windows also create minidump in case of blue screen, upload them too.
