Windows Explorer hangs, can't move cursor.

Title sums it up.

Basically what happens: Explorer has stopped working: restart the program.

Afterwards, either I can't move my cursor, or the moves very slowly or in different directions but still slowly.

The only way I've been able to get out of is by Ctrl Shift Esc Task Manager and then Alt Tabbing my way to process list to kill WerFault.

I dug around through event viewer, but this the most recent relevant crash I found.

The stranger part of this issue is that I rarely even have Dropbox running at all, and I didn't have it running when Explorer decided to hang.

What can I do to resolve this?

The only fix (work around really) was to disable Windows Error Reporting (WerFault). Read through the thread and see if any of the suggestions help. If nothing else, disable WerFault while you continue to investigate.

Hopefully someone else here has some ideas.
