windows has corrupt files with clean install of SSD

Hi all, im really at a loss as to why this is happening but here go's . i have recently installed a SSD and have my older 1tb drive as storage now. i have the new ssd in sata 0 port on the motherboard and changed to achi in bios. everytime i install windows it seems to work fine untill i get some of the windows update and then weird things start to happen:i get corrupt file warnings(this time it was staem files on the 1tb drive) and windows wants to do a check disk every reboot and sometimes it finds things and then loads windows but sometimes it says newly installed software has stoped check disk from running. also today after installing some windows updates(seemed to work fine for 3 days before this) i lost my graphics driver and i cant seem to reinstall it(says i dont have the right driver when i try to install CCC and i know its the right one) and system restore will not work because it detects corrupt files. i have wiped both drives and deleated all partitions multiple times and always get the corrupts files issue and seems like a new issue to go with it everytime(all my usb ports stoped working last time)
do i have a bad ssd or hdd? i will gladly provide more info if needed.

How have you transferred the system to the newly installed SSD? By doing a clean install, or sysprep?

Search in the website of the manufacturer of the SSD, if there is any latest firmware available, download and install it.

the instructions in the update said i had to change from ahci to ide mode to do the update but windows wont load now even after i changed it back to ahci in the bios. do i have to do a clean install to update the firmware on the ssd? or do i just need to do it because i changed that now?

If it is a problem to update the BIOS, you may try booting a Linux live disc, and get the Linux version update, and install it.

no problems in bios, well i couldnt get windows to load again so im trying clean install 1 more time and then im tossing the ssd drive into the external and not using it if it dont work right this time

ok windows would not load from a clean install that time so im gonna try the SSD in my other pc to test it

What is the model of your SSD ? Also are you installing Windows with the 1TB unplugged ?

VK beat me to it. Ditto unplugging the 1TB drive until Windows is loaded and running. Set up your system, BIOS boot sequence, etc. and drivers then when it's stable, install the 1TB drive. If the 1TB disk has/had your old Windows system on it, you need to make sure it's not marked Active (in Disk Management).

ok that didnt help either so i installed the ssd in my other pc and it fails to install windows updates and then tells me in checkdesk that there are bad sectors(same issue on both pc's) so now i know its the ssd. im just wondering if this is something i could use warranty on and maybe get a new ssd from OCZ? if so what should i tell them?

yes i tryed in both pc's with just the SSD hooked up

OCZ vertex plus sata 2

also my main pc is running fine with all updates installed on the 1tb with no ssd hooked up

Well my two cents worth I'll agree and go with VK and carwiz and add did you unplug every other device except the mouse and keyboard?

Also did you run this? http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/113967-ssd-alignment.html it might not make any difference but will not do any harm either.

Were you able to boot from the SSD? How are you installing updates then? I'm pretty sure you'll have to do a quick format and re-install Windows on the SSD. The drive is probably not aligned.

Yes, you have a full factory warranty for the SSD including tech support. I would call them to help you determine if it's a bad SSD which we see regularly here. They will then replace it for you.
