I've uploaded a file - tmiaa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
Please download and save it.

Right-click on the saved file and select Extract all...
Change the target to C:\ and click on Extract
Close all windows (it would be a good idea to print these instructions!)

Now reboot to the Repair Environment - as soon as the machine restarts, start tapping F8 - this should bring up the Advanced Boot Menu, at the top of which should be the option 'Repair my Computer'
Pick that
You'll have to log in with your username and password.

Pick the option to use a Command Prompt
At the prompt type
DIR C:\tmiaa
hit the enter key - if you get a 'Not Found' error try
DIR D:\tmiaa
or
DIR E:\tmiaa



The drive letter in use when you find the folder will need to be substituted (for<drive>) into the following command...



XCOPY <drive>:\tmiaa <drive>:\windows\winsxs /y /i /s /v /h



(e.g. XCOPY P:\wfire P:\windows\winsxs /y /i /s /v /h )



run the command (it should take almost no time) and when the prompt returns, type
EXIT
and hit the Enter key to exit Command Prompt - reboot to Normal Mode Windows.

Now run SFC /SCANNOW in an Elevated Command Prompt
then reboot and upload the new CBS.log file to your reply

not easy to tell - it could be corruption caused by disk problems.
we can check that...


Open Event Viewer
click on the Windows logs entry in the left pane to expand it.
Now click on the Application entry - wait while it loads.
Click on 'File' in the menu bar and select Save...
Save the file as Appevt.evtx
Repeat for the System log
then zip both, and upload them.

oh ...there was no save as under file . there was only options and exit and under options it opens a box with delete. After the Applications expanded i clicked on application and under action i clicked on save all events as and saved it on desktop and then compressed it.....I'm sending it again ...i hope i did it right this time :

Your hard drive is almost certainly failing - at an accelerating rate

You need to back up your data NOW - to external media - and plan to replace either the HD or the computer.

Currently, the log shows only two 'bad sectors' - but you need to be aware that Windows doesn't even see these problems until all the drive's own backup/self-repair systems have been overflowed. Consequently, it's likely that the real number of problems is in the hundreds.

It's definitely time to save up for a hardware replacement of one sort or another.

Most important thing to back up is your personal data which you can do via drag and drop ie music,pictures, documents etc
If you wish to keep you installation ready to copy to a new drive you will need to take a system image of your hard drive ready to transfer over to a new hdd but be aware that as you are having problems and suffering corruption of system files you will also transport that corruption to a new hdd so may not work as expected so may be time for a clean install

I would recommend an ssd as a replacement, it will dramatically speed up the responsiveness of a machine but it depends on budget mainly
Most people here would generally use an SSD for windows and programs and a large capacity traditional spinner HDD for storage
SSDs are getting quite cheap now for smaller capacity but if your machine can only take one drive you would need storage space and a large SSD is not so cheap
I mainly use 120GB SSD drives for my machines with a 1-2TB HDD for storage so its really determined by what you can afford of course theres nothing wrong with having a standard HDD and just replacing it with a like for like swap

What hard drive diagnostics have been run so far so we know the exact condition of the hard drive?

Dell has built in diagnostics which test all of the hardware at once, so that should have been the very first step: Dell Hardware Diagnostics from F12 Menu

Next, is this the factory install? That's the worst install of Win7 one can have, larded with bloatware and duplicate utilities which interfere with better versions built into Win7. I would do what most tech enthusiasts do and Clean Reinstall Windows 7 following those steps which compile everything that's worked best in tens of thousands of installs we've helped with here since beta.

You will never even experience Win7 on that PC until you get rid of the factory install. The tutorial has helped over a million users get and keep a perfect install without a single complaint or return here for problem repairs by those who stick with the tools and methods given.

If not ready to reinstall then after clearing the hardware the next step should be to check for infection, since if you're infected the OS may not repair.
